Margin is a thinking tool. What you write, record, or scan is yours. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to profile you.
Margin is an app designed to help you capture and continue your thoughts. When we say "Margin," "we," or "us" in this policy, we mean the Margin app and its operator.
We collect only what's necessary to make the app work:

Your data is used solely to provide the Margin experience:

Your entries and voice memos are stored securely. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted.
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Margin, including hosting and authentication providers. These services access only the data necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Margin is a personal thinking tool. You may use it for your own private reflection, thought capture, and journaling. You must be at least 13 years old to use Margin.
You agree not to use Margin to:
Everything you write, record, or upload in Margin belongs to you. We don't claim ownership over your entries, voice memos, or any content you create.
By using Margin, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
Margin is currently in public beta. This means the app is still being developed and improved. Features may change, be removed, or behave unexpectedly. We appreciate your patience and feedback during this period.
Margin currently offers a free plan. A paid Pro plan is coming soon. When paid features become available, pricing and billing terms will be clearly communicated before any charge is made.
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Margin is a thinking and reflection tool — it is not a substitute for professional mental health support, therapy, or medical advice. If you are in crisis or need immediate help, please contact a qualified professional or crisis service.
The app is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep it reliable, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Margin after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
